Mets VS Cardinals Summary

**I would first off like to apologize. Sometime during the game, something happened and I lost the first 3 and 1/2 innings. I do not know what happened but I assure you I will do whatever it takes to make sure this never happens again.**

Steve Schmoll gets the loss in a 3 Hour 9 Minute shoving contest between the New York Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals. The game went back and fourth. Both starters were solid in the innings they pitched. Irike allowed a lead off hit to Aaron Miles and then retired the next 6 batters. The Mets had a 8-7 lead in the top of the 8th inning when there was a rare occurrence. Aaron Miles missed third base and the tying runs was reversed, and we got out of the inning. At this point in the game I expected that the Mets would go into the 9th with some dominance, however Steve Schmoll did not have it in him to finish the game. He allowed 4 consecutive hits, leading to a 9th inning comeback by the Cardinals, and ultimately a defeat of our Mets.
