9th Inning:
The Mets tack on one more run, and the Nationals make a push for a comeback. The Nats scored 3 runs but then got shut down. Final score Mets 8 Washington 5.

8th Inning:
Once again the Mets answer the Nationals, but in a big way this time. They scored 5 runs to take a 7-2 lead...Sandy Martinez hit his second HR of the season...The Mets retired the bottom of the inning without allowing a run.

7th inning:
Todd Self breaks up the 1 hitter, and the Mets are able to capitalize scoring their second run of the game. The Nationals come back with another HR. The score is 2-2.

6th inning:
As the Mets head in to the top of the inning the game is tied 1-1. The Mets finish the side without a hit...Perez stays on to pitch...Perez finishes the side 1-2-3.

5th inning:
Jon Rauch has been dominating the Mets thus far...i bet he is just imagining killing Victor Diaz as we speak...he finishes the Mets off 1-2-3. The Mets pull Heilman from the game and bring in Juan Perez. He allows a solo HR to Tyrell Godwin.

First 4 innings:
Aaron Heilman has pitched 4 great innings allowing only 3 hits. Offensively the Mets have only one hit, which was a solo shot by Mini Manny, Victor Diaz in the 2nd inning.
