Zambrano Just Good Enough In Blowout

The New York Mets pulled out the brooms and put them to good use. They swept the Washington Nationals in a 13-4 blowout. Zambrano became the first Met starter to not go 6 innings. He went 5 and pitched great in his first 3 innings. In the fourth and fifth he had some controll issues and allowed 3 runs. Darren Oliver came on to pitch the 6th and 7th. He didnt allow a single runner over the 2 innings, he also struck out 4. The infamous Jorge Julio came on in relief and he allowed 1 run. Then Dauner Sanchez came in to close out the game.

The Met offense was dominant. Reyes got on base, Woodward had 2 key hits, Beltran, Delgado, Wright and Floyd all hit homeruns, The X-Man, Xavier Nady got a single and Ramon Castro played well behind the plate and also got a hit.
