Cross Town Partners?

The two New York baseball teams have taken a big time hit in the injury department. The Yankees have lost two of the best hitters on there team in Gary Sheffield and Hideki Matsui. The Mets have lost two pitchers of their starting 5 in Brian Bannister and Victor Zambrano. Not to mention that they have also lost there back up starter in John Maine.

Being that they plan to get Bannister back within the next 2 weeks, they still will need at least one more starter. The Yanks also plan to get Sheffield back in the next few days, so they will need another outfielder. It may not be a bad idea for the two GM's of NY to work a deal. One possibility involves trading Victor Diaz for Aaron Small. Both of these guys are currently at the minor league level and definitely showed us last year that they have the ability to play at the major league level. It is a deal that can be made right away and will definitely benefit both teams immediately.
