In Game: Mets @ Phillies

This game is not looking so good at the moment. We are currently in a rain delay. The Mets are down 2-0. In the first inning Gavin Floyd got two outs then walked three men to load the bases. Xavier Nady came up and drilled a ball to deep center field. However Aaron Rowand ran it down and made a spectacular grab to take away 3 runs from the Mets. He left the game as his nose was just pouring blood, it was later announced that Rowand broke his nose on the play.

Since that point Steve Trachsel has allowed 2 runs and 6 hits. One run coming on a first inning solo shot by Chase Utley. The Mets have just been able to put together 2 hits, one by Matsui the other by Castro. The Phills qualify for the win as Gavin Floyd has pitched 4.5 innings, making this an official game.

According to the forecast in Philadelphia, the heavy rain is supposed to start between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM and last until the morning commute...If i had to guess this game will be called on account of rain and the Mets will take just there third series loss. If and when this game is over I will be back to make a final recap. Until then prey that the rain stops and LETS GO METS!!!
