Pedro Of The Caribbean VS The Pirates of Pittsburgh

After splitting a 2 game series with the Washington Nationals the Mets continue their home stand with another 2 game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Mets will send there Ace Pedro Martinez to the mound in game one against Ian Snell.

Pedro is 5-0 in 5 starts this season. He looks for his 6th consecutive win against a slumping Pirates team. If Pedro can pull this one off it will be the first time since 2004 with the Bo-Sox that Pedro has won his first six starts of the season.

Ian Snell is 1 and 2 and has made 5 starts this season. His first three were horrible. Just as the Pirate management was about to take him out of the rotation Snell had a good outing and followed that up with an even better outing. In his last start he held the Astros to just an unearned run over 7 innings. Snell has never faced the Mets in his career.

The Mets offense is slumping right now, and this kid Snell is on a roll. But the Mets are sending their stopper to the mound in Pedro Martinez. Hopefully he can spark the Mets and go on to win his 6th in a row. The game starts at 7:10 PM EST and will be broadcasted on SNY and WFAN. Tune in for all the action. Good Luck Pedro and LETS GO METS!!!
